Settling into your workplace

Members of the scientific community are expected to play an active part in the life of the university that employs them. When you are a young researcher, it is very important not to underestimate the links that can be forged within the framework of activities organised by your colleagues, meetings of your institute and in more informal settings or faculty councils.

People encountered within these different frameworks often facilitate at some point the progress of an academic career.
