Objectives
To acquire some theoretical knowledge and practical experience of selected topics in bioinformatics.
Content
The mornings will be dedicated to theory, and the afternoons to exercises.
Topics covered will include, among other:
- sequence analysis
- genome assembly
- phylogenetics
NOTE: A basic knowledge of Unix/Linux is strongly recommended
Please bring your own laptop at the course.

Travel expenses : participants of the Interuniversity doctoral program in Organismal Biology (DPOB) are eligible for reimbursement of incurred travel expenses by train (half-fare card, and 2nd class). Please send the original tickets (no copies) with the reimbursement form to Sara Santi.
Meal expenses : no meal expenses reimbursement

Registration
- This course is free and open to all Ph.D. students and post-docs. However, priority will be given to PhD students enrolled in the Organismal Biology doctoral program until 10 March 2019.
- Maximum number of participants: 20 people (minimum: 10 people)

Cancellation : Please note the cancellation policy. If you cancel your registration after the deadline or in case of no show, you will be requested to pay a cancellation fee of CHF 100. Free cancellation before the registration deadline.
