Contents
Communicating effectively is at the heart of building trust, engaging an audience and creating a strong impact with them. It is the key to networking, landing a job interview, and, ultimately, to successfully navigating the interview process. In all these situations is important for applicants to be aware of and stay comfortable with their own emotions, as well as the reactions from others, in order to create an impact they wish to have.
This workshop supports young academics in discovering their personal leadership style and in leveraging when communicating an idea – be it a research or business idea, or a personal vision of themselves in an organisation.
They experience the challenges of communicating under pressure and learn to remain confident, to stay connected to themselves and to the audience, and to attentively listen and respond to questions.
The workshop complements the other two career-centred trainings and requires that participants have attended either the Career Compass or the Career Launcher before.
