Accommodation
The town of Neuchâtel has a range of possibilities for accommodation but only a limited number of rooms.
To book a hotel or any other form of housing, please contact the chosen place directly.
We urge you to book your accommodation as early as possible. In case of problems with reservations, you may also contact us at the conference email (cf. contact).

The hotels indicated below are those we reserved at special conference rates, which usually include taxes and breakfast and may be extended before and after the conference. Please make sure to mention NUBIAN STUDIES 2014 when booking . Also make sure to enquire about the cancellation policy before booking since some hotels have a stricter policy than others.

Gîte des Vignes : 4 beautiful rooms - close to the Latenium Museum in Hauterive and 15 min. away from the conference site by bus - to book from 1 to 6 September 2014 (single rooms from CHF 100.- to 130.-).
FULLY BOOKED :
L'Aubier : with rooms in the heart of the historic downtown
(single room from CHF 85.- to 130.-)
Hôtel de l'Ecluse : located downtown on Neuchâtel most "ethnic" street
(single rooms at CHF 147.- )
Hôtel des Arts : a small, modern hotel, five minutes from the conference venue (single rooms from CHF 101.- to 121.-)
Hôtel Alpes et Lac : a little bit more upscale, right across from the train station (single rooms from CHF 128.-)
2 dormitories with 18 beds each have been pre-booked at Le Cercle de la Voile indicated below, please make sure to mention NUBIAN STUDIES 2014 when booking at chefdebase@cvn.ch. Also make sure to bring along your sleeping bag .

Plesase note that the payment must be made in advance : CHF 15.- per night + CHF 8.- per breakfast

Camping Colombier
30 minutes away by tram from the Conference venue.
Located below the Jura mountains on the shores of Lake Neuchâtel, the village of Colombier provides the setting for Paradis Plage campsite, 7 km from the region’s capital (Neuchâtel). The area enjoys a sunny climate suitable for winegrowing and warm enough for bathing in the clear waters of the lake.

20 minutes away by bus from the Conference venue. On the lake side in Marin-Epagnier.
Double rooms for single use (from CHF 60.- to 65.-), Dormitories with your sleeping bag (CHF 25.-) with furnished linen (CHF 35.-).

In the course of June 2014, we will be informed of the number of rooms available at the University Student Housing. Should you be interested to stay there, you may contact us upon this time by email at nubianstudies.2014@unine.ch to place your name on the waiting list.
The price per night for single use goes from CHF 55.- to CHF 90.- depending on the type of rooms available.
