Program Overview
Course Structure
This program expands over three semesters:
- The first semester covers fundamental courses in core management disciplines (30 compulsory ECTS)
- The second semester covers fundamental courses in core management disciplines (24 compulsory ECTS) and allows students to choose courses in their field of interest (6 ECTS).
- The last semester aims to further develop management skills. It includes a business game that integrates previously acquired knowledge and enhances strategic thinking and decision-making (12 ECTS Business Game and 18 ECTS internship or thesis or elective courses)
During the program, students can choose elective courses from a list and/or an internship to further deepen their knowledge in a specific field of their interest.
Students can also participate in exchange programs at a university belonging to the network of the Faculty of Economics and Business. Subject to a learning agreement, each student may validate up to 30 ECTS in a university in Switzerland or abroad.

By the end of the program, students will be able to:

Frequently Asked Questions

Is it possible to do the program part-time while working full-time?
The program can be completed in 3 semesters with full-time dedication. The rules though allow an organization of the studies for up to a maximum of 6 semesters. Thus, it is possible to follow the program while having a professional activity. Further, if you provide a work contract, you could sign a learning agreement allowing for an extension to 8 semesters. For further information on this option, please contact the student advisor.

Can I start the program during the spring semester?
No, there is only one intake per year and the program starts in September.

What language are the courses taught?
Starting the intake in 2023, the program can be fully followed in English.

Can I choose to follow the program in French?
No, the fundamental courses will all be delivered in English, but you can take elective courses that are delivered in French.

Is a good knowledge of English necessary for this program?
Yes, a good command of English is necessary (B2 level).

Are there courses and exams on Saturdays?
In principle, no. Courses run from Monday till Friday. Exceptionally, there could be a seminar or block course that is organized which extends till Saturday.

Can I follow elective courses from the first semester?
In principle, no. Elective courses assume that students have knowledge in management or economics that students will only gain after the first semester.

Can I follow elective courses from other Master programmes of the Faculty of Economics and Business?
Yes, with two conditions: 1) if the prerequisites are fulfilled; and 2) if you receive approval from the director of the master’s program.

Can I take the exams in French for a course that is delivered in English?
The program requires that students have a good knowledge of English. To take the exam in French for a course in English is possible, but you must first get approval from the professor of the course.

Is it possible to leave for mobility or an exchange semester during the 2nd or 3rd semester?
It is possible to leave during the 2nd or 3rd semester. However, we recommend that students go during the 3rd semester.
