Former Chair in Computational Linguistics - Prof. emeritus J. Savoy

Computational Linguistics is an interdisciplinary domain, mainly between computer science, statistics, and linguistics. The main interest is this field is to model natural languages with logical or statistical approaches.
In Neuchatel, we are more interested by stylistic studies (who is the author of a given text), to detect and analyze the differences between two (or more) authors, to draw the stylistic evolution over time or to analyze the style and rhetoric of political leaders.
