Jean-Marie Grether is professor of international economics at the University of Neuchâtel since 2000. He has been Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, in 2009-2011 and 2013-2015. He is vice-rector of the University since January 2017. He has been teaching in Europe, Mexico and Argentina.

He received his Ph.D. from the University of Geneva in 1995. His areas of expertise are trade policy (political economy, impacts on competitiveness), international migration, inequalities, development and the environment.
